FAQs
You will complete an induction week at camp before campers arrive, where you’ll receive training to help you feel confident and prepared in your role. While training varies between camps, it usually includes guidance on responding to different camper situations, behaviour management and intervention techniques, personal care training where relevant, plus general camp orientation and program specific preparation. This training is key to ensuring a safe and successful summer, so we recommend asking about the details during your interview and discussing it further with your camp director.
Additional needs camps can accommodate both children and adults. This is a camp-specific detail that should be discussed during your interview!
Personal care is a crucial aspect of supporting certain campers. It can include aiding with daily tasks like getting dressed, bathing and helping to maintain their daily personal experience
