The camp job gets you there but it doesn't have to end when your camp placement does. To take part, you'll need to be from one of the eligible countries and apply for an International Experience Canada (IEC) Working Holiday Visa, which lets you live and work in Canada for up to two years depending on your nationality. That's plenty of time to travel, save money, and see the country properly.
4. Behind-the-Scenes Support Staff Roles
Our support staff roles focus on the essential operations that keep camp running smoothly. Unlike counsellor positions, these roles don't involve direct camper supervision. Instead, you'll be part of the vital crew that makes everything work behind the scenes. It's ideal for those who want the camp experience with a focus on hands-on, practical work. Available roles include: General Kitchen, Dining Hall, Food Prep, Dishwasher, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance.
5. Food and Accommodation Included
Your food and accommodation are included as part of your camp placement. No need to find somewhere to live or sort out meals when you arrive which is one less thing to deal with before you go, and one less thing to think about when you get there.
6. Meet People From All Over the World
Camp is one of those rare environments where you instantly have something in common with everyone around you despite coming from all corners of the world. The people you meet over the summer tend to become friends you keep long after you've both gone home.
7. Post-Camp Job Support
Once camp wraps up, we can help you figure out what's next. While post-camp roles aren't guaranteed, you won't have to navigate it alone. Past Work and Travel participants have gone on to work in hospitality roles out West. Think national parks, lakes, and mountains across Alberta and British Columbia.
