What is Camp Canada?

Rocky mountains, smooth summers.

Camp Canada is the opportunity for you to spend 8-12 weeks living and working in a summer camp surrounded by amazing Canadian landscapes.

Authentic Canadian adventure.

At camp, you’ll play a key role in making summer unforgettable. Whether that’s leading campers as a Counsellor, sharing your skills as an Activity Specialist, or helping behind the scenes in a Support Staff role.

Once camp wraps up, the adventure doesn’t stop. Depending on your program, you could stick around after camp to travel, or even work, and explore more of what Canada has to offer. From mountain ranges and lakes to buzzing cities and hidden gems, you’ll find it all here.

The perfect adventure.

This is why Camp Canada exists. After you get paired with your summer camp and role, you'll be off on your next adventure.

We're here to make sure the important pieces are in place (e.g. organizing your work permit paperwork, health insurance etc) before you arrive so you can land in Canada and jump straight into your best summer ever.

Life at summer camp.

Speak to anyone who’s done camp, and they’ll tell you - there’s nothing quite like it. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience you’ll carry with you long after the summer ends.

Whether you're leading a cabin as a camp counsellor, running activities, or keeping the camp running smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll play a big part in shaping the summer for everyone there. One day you could be helping campers build confidence through new skills, and the next, you might be heading out on a trip into the wilderness, stargazing by the fire, or getting stuck into the day-to-day buzz of camp life.

Work with children.

Spend your summer at camp helping create unforgettable experiences for kids. Whether you're working directly with campers as a Counsellor or Activity Specialist, or supporting behind the scenes as part of the Work & Travel program, you’ll be part of what makes camp special.

Working with children is hugely rewarding, and even if your role isn’t face-to-face, you’ll still play a big part in their day-to-day camp life. It’s a chance to build your confidence, grow your skill set, and add something impressive to your CV. You'll become a role model in ways you might not expect - and you’ll make a lasting impact on the lives of others (and your own).

Teach what you Love.

The skills that are taught at camp are varied and account for a majority of the day at camp. From teaching sports and arts, to hobbies such as jewelry making, wherever your passion lies, there is more than likely a camp that needs your help to teach it.

As an Activity Specialist you will be working with different groups of campers throughout the day, giving you the opportunity to improve the skills of hundreds of children whilst also helping you improve your coaching and technical ability.

Travel Canada.

Camp Canada is the perfect opportunity to begin a new adventure and travel to a country you are yet to discover. Explore Canada during your time at camp by leading adventure trips, and then have the opportunity to travel to new mountain ranges, towns, and cities after camp.

Camp is a great way to begin a new adventure abroad and expand your horizons. While the experience of camp is a unique experience, so is discovering this unique country.

Earn a minimum of $1000 CAD.

While you are gaining experience with children, exploring the local Canadian countryside, and teaching your skills to children, you will also be earning spending money during your summer.

This is a great opportunity to help fund your after camp adventures in Canada. The spending money depends on your age and skills that you can bring to camp but it is a great bonus to go along with the experience of camp.
