Your Day at Camp.

Every day at summer camp will be an adventure with Camp Canada - but what does every day look like?

Wake up to another sunny day.
You'll be living comfortably this summer no matter which camp you end up at. You'll have shared accommodation, which means you'll grow close to your bunk group. Most counsellors typically share or have an adjoining bunk with their campers, and depending on availability, activity specialists will often share a cabin with other counsellors.
Grab breakfast and begin today's adventure.
Wherever you're from, we'll bet that the weather in June isn't as sunny as a typical Canadian summer morning. You'll start your day at around 8am - you'll grab breakfast in the dining area, and then everyone will depart for their morning activities, which usually start at around 10am.
Get stuck in to your role for the day.
Depending on your job role, your daily schedule might take a different form. Activity specialists will get ready for the campers to arrive at their station, and camp counsellors will be with their group of campers through their whole day.
Fuel up at lunch time and relax.
Once you're done with your morning you'll refuel by getting some lunch. As well as lunch, you'll have some downtime to relax and get yourself recharged before the afternoon activities commence.
Afternoon: 12pm - 5pm

Get back in to the swing of things.
Once lunch is over you'll regroup with your campers and make sure everyone is good to go for the activities to come.
Begin the afternoon activities.
Canada is full of amazing scenery - and with all the different activities at camp, so you won't be going bored. Teach the campers how to waterski on one of Canada's many freshwater lakes, explore your artistic side, or simply take a hike and see what you find.
Oversee the camper's free time.
When every one is finished with the afternoon activities, it will be time to give the campers some free time to interact with each other. You'll be there to provide support and oversee their free time.
Evening: from 5pm

Enjoy some dinner after your hard work so far.
Grab some dinner and get ready for the evening. A Canadian dinner meal is always great. Some favourites include spaghetti & meatballs, chicken fingers, classic BBQ, the list goes on and on.
Kick the evening off with an activity.
After dinner is finished, it'll be time for one more activity with your campers. This will be more chilled than the previous activities throughout the day, and include theatre performances, arts & crafts or even storytelling.
Gather around the campfire.
Not all days will finish with an ordinary activity. Some evenings you'll have the chance to gather around a campfire with your campers; telling stories and making s'mores.
Finish up for the day.
Make sure your campers are settling down and have a quick evening snack before getting ready to pack it in for the day. When it's time for bed, round up your campers, head for your cabin, and hit the pillows. It all starts again tomorrow!
Not your average day.
