Camp Canada participants experiences:

I really loved the program and felt super supported the whole time. I liked how streamlined and easy the process was and the website was so straightforward. Always felt supported by the team which was really appreciated. I also love the documents section with all the things i need to print, that took a lot of stress out of it. Thanks team!!!

FAQs

Can I use the camp facilities during my time off?

Yes! You’re welcome to use the camp facilities in your downtime, but make sure you check the rules and availability for each activity with your camp. For example, using the waterfront requires a lifeguard for safety, so always confirm with your camp director before accessing certain areas.

Can I choose what camp I work at?

You can't choose your camp outright, as each Camp Director has the ultimate say over the staff they hire. In order to help you find the right camp, we've allowed you to set your preferences in your profile. When Camp Directors come across these preferences, they'll reach out, and you can decide when to accept and confirm your placement at a camp!

What if I want to extend my contract at camp?

No problem! If you’d like to stay longer and keep working at your camp into the fall, the first step is to confirm that your camp has space and a role for you. Camp Canada doesn’t need to do anything for you to extend your contract, but it’s really important to double-check your work permit to make sure your dates cover your entire stay in Canada.

What if my IEC was issued for less than the maximum length for my country (12 or 24 months) and I’d like to stay longer? Can I extend it?

IEC work permits are usually issued based on the length of your health insurance. For example, if you only had insurance for 5 months when you first arrived, you would have received a 5-month work permit. If you later decide you want to stay longer, unfortunately, you can’t change or extend the conditions of your existing work permit.
